Clinical trials have shown that very little Curcumin is absorbed when Curcumin is administered orally without food. However, its absorption has shown to be greatly enhanced when it is consumed with fats or food that contain fats. Adding medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), as we have done in our formula, to Curcumin preparations can enhance the bio-availability of Curcumin*. MCTs are a unique form of dietary fat that impart a wide range of positive health benefits*. MCTs have proven useful in supporting lipid (fat) metabolism*.

We have also included trikatu, as research has shown that trikatu enhances the absorption of herbs, food and supplements*. Trikatu is the famous mix of three herbs, black pepper, long pepper and ginger. Ayurvedically, it has been used to enhance digestive juices, which in turn increases hydrochloric acid and enzyme production*. Trikatu increases the digestive "agni" or fire to help digest, assimilate and distribute nutrition all over the body*.

In addition, we have added 100 mg of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) for greater benefits. CoQ10 is a naturally-occurring compound found in the energy-producing center of the cell known as the mitochondria, and is necessary for the basic functioning of cells*. CoQ10 levels are reported to decrease with age. Usual supplementation with CoQ10 does not increase in tissue levels, as it depends a lot on the lipid fat membrane. The MCT in our formula will also enhance the bioavailability of CoQ10, as well as curcumin*. In order to significantly increase the tissue concentration of CoQ10, and also increase its concentration in the blood around 2 g/mL, at least 100 mg per day is required. CoQ10 is used for cell signaling and gene expression, helps support the immune system and is essential for healthy heart function*. It also possesses antioxidant properties*.

About Ayush Herbs

Our Quality Guarantee

Scientific Testing

All of our products are tested for heavy metals and go under microbiological testing before they are processed with extraction. Furthermore, the samples of extracted materials are taken throughout various stages to ensure that the specs are met in the laboratory. Our laboratory uses the most advanced equipment and testing methods, including HPLC, TCL, and independent laboratories certify the potency of every ingredient. Each product has been verified to contain what it claims on the label. Independent microbial and in-house microbiological testing of all products is also performed to ensure supplement purity.

GMP/ISO Approved

Ayush Herbs manufactures all of the products in its state-of-the art plant in Nagrota Bagwan in Himachal Pradesh, India. This is an ISO and GMP approved facility that is headed by Mr. Jitender Sodhi. All of the production is done under the supervision of biotechnologists and doctors. The manufacturing takes place in temperature, humidity and dust controlled rooms. Every single piece of equipment is thoroughly sterilized before each production run.

Extraction

Stringent quality control is performed at Ayush’s laboratories by a team of scientists using the latest technologies. Ayush’s patented herbal-extraction method uses state-of-the-art technology to obtain the maximum level of active principles, as well as full-spectrum extracts, after which the extracts are spray-dried, oven-dried, or freeze-dried. As the extracts are concentrated, they go through another inspection for heavy metals and further microbiological testing. Finally, each batch is hygienically packed and samples are tagged and kept for future reference. Additional testing by third parties is performed on every one of Ayush’s formulations, ensuring that each product meets Ayush’s own high standards of excellence.

Raw Material Sourcing

We primarily rely on the following modes of raw material sourcing:
  • Our own farms
  • Local farmers or collectors and local NGO’s that meet or exceed the Ayush standards of excellence for raw materials.
Since we are located in the foothills of the Himalayas, we are blessed to have a clean and pollution free environment, predominantly being a reason we prefer locally grow herbs.
